i make them by hand actually! a lot of my skins actually consist of two versions: a mock-up and then the finished version. i use a pre-adjusted colour palette for my mock-up to draft up a "tintless" version and then save that skin and tint the picture however i please until im satisfied, i will then use the previous skin as a guide for my new one as i paste the new colours onto it, and then i'm done! it's very long and strenuous, and definitely a pain to do but i think it's worth it

oh my god how did i forget to reply to this i swear i thought i did deftones! i think ive listened to them before so im sure its peak AAWWW THAT PICTURE IS SO CUTE im keeping that. im saving that to my computer RIGHT NOW. aww yeah...now i might not need to use vr just to watch movies... thank you! generally with my tinting its all trial and error, my style fluctuates from character to character but i try to experiment with aligning up the theme with the character in a way if that makes sense? like if the character has a bold sort of personality, i wont have the outlines soft and try to make them stand out and reflect that, but in terms of colours i generally just work with what ive got (like if the character is more warm colours, youd generally tone it warmer not colder and the inverse) there's plenty of websites to play around with as a safety net until you find something to work with! THOSE EXIST? oh my god that mental imagery is amazing i havent heard the words "gacha react" in the same sentence since friday night funkin was like mainstream. thank youu i hope you stay wonderful too! pls dont let ur luscious curly-haired green have their hair start thinning that would be HORRIBLE!
